A U.S. Navy combat ship returned to its San Diego homeport on October 25.

The ship – dubbed USS Mobile – has been at sea for 19 months and participated in operations in the South China Sea along with the French Navy and the Royal Australian Navy. USS Mobile was also present at an International Exhibition in Singapore.

Commanding Officer David Gardner said he was incredibly proud of his crew’s resilience.

“They saved both time and money with their can-do attitude, and that was key to our success,” Gardner said.

The USS Mobile is part of a littoral combat ship squadron, built for speed and mission adaptability.
