UAlbany police investigating reported attack near Empire Commons
University police at the University at Albany are investigating after a student said she was attacked on campus near Empire Commons.
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- University police at the University at Albany are investigating after a student said she was attacked on campus near Empire Commons.
Around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, a student told police she was walking on a wooded trail from Empire Commons to Fuller Road when an unknown woman attacked her with a sharp object. The student received minor scratches and did not go to the hospital.
The suspect is described as a possibly white female in her mid-30s, around 5'4" tall and 100 lbs., wearing a black hat, black hoodie and black pants.
If you see someone matching the suspect description, you are advised to avoid them and contact university police at 518-442-3131 or 911.
The investigation is ongoing.
