West Palm Beach, Florida (CNN) — President-elect Donald Trump is on the verge of announcing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his next secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, according to two people close to the situation, in a move that would add to Trump’s provocative picks whose confirmation process will test the loyalty of Senate Republicans.
Trump has formally offered Kennedy the job and the announcement could come as soon as Thursday.
