TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- State Police arrested a Troy woman on Wednesday, Oct. 23, for reports of an alleged grand larceny of a Troy business. Kimberly Neumann, 53, faces multiple charges.
In September, Troopers received a complaint from a Troy business reporting a previous employee misused a corporate credit card. Upon an investigation, state police determined Neumann, while working for the company, used the company's credit card to make purchases unrelated to the business from 2023 to the end of summer 2024.
Troopers say the alleged purchases were made without permission or authorization from the company. It was also determined that the alleged purchases were reportedly for Neumann's personal gain and resulted in the company losing more than $50,000.
Charges:
- Grand Larceny in the second degree
- Scheme to Defraud in the first degree
Neumann was processed at the Brunswick state police barracks before being arraigned at the Troy City Court. Neumann was later released under the supervision of the Rensselaer County Probation Department.
