Troy Police investigating officer-involved shooting
Police said that the suspect involved in the shooting is in critical condition.
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Troy Police are reporting an officer-involved shooting that happened early Monday morning around midnight. Police said that the suspect involved in the shooting is in critical condition.
Officers responded to a report of a man with a handgun near 10th Street and Jacob Street. The suspect allegedly fled when approached by police.
Police said the suspect began shooting at the responding officers, leading to the officers returning fire and hitting the suspect. He was taken to the hospital and is in critical, but stable, condition.
No officers were injured. Troy Police said the investigation is ongoing.
