TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Troy Police Department confirmed that the skeletal remains found near Burden Pond on Sunday night were not consistent with that of 12-year-old Jaliek Rainwalker, who went missing in 2007. The determination was made following a dental comparison which was conducted on Wednesday.
Troy Police stated that Rainwalker's family has been contacted regarding the matter. Further analysis of the remains to potentially determine the identity of the deceased is scheduled to take place next week. Stay with NEWS10 as this story continues to develop.
