Troy man arrested on child sex abuse image charges
New York State Police arrested a Troy man on Wednesday in connection to a sex crime investigation.
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police arrested a Troy man on Wednesday in connection to a sex crime investigation. Andrew Squillari, 26, faces multiple felony charges.
According to law enforcement, Squillari is accused of having and distributing images depicting the sexual exploitation of children. An investigation conducted by state police, the Department of Homeland Security and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce led to a search warrant being executed at his Troy home on October 23, which resulted in his arrest.
Squillari was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was arraigned at Troy City Court before being remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash, $10,000 bond, or $100,000 partially secured bond.
