Travis County mail-in ballot deadline swiftly approaching
The Travis County Clerk Office issued a reminder to voters with mail-in ballots.
AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Thursday, the Travis County Clerk Office issued a reminder to voters with mail-in ballots.
The office said voters should vote their ballot and send it back as soon as possible. The ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday, Nov. 5, and received by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6.
As of Oct. 30, the office said it had received 16,290 mail ballots.
Texas law also allows mail ballots to be hand-delivered on Election Day to the early voting clerk at their main office. Travis County voters who received a mail ballot can hand-deliver their voted mail ballots Nov. 5 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the county’s main office, located at 5501 Airport Blvd.
“Voters may only hand-deliver their own carrier envelope, present an acceptable form of ID, sign a signature roster, and deposit their mail-in ballot in the ballot box,” the office said.
Those who wish to track their ballot can visit the VoteTravis.gov website.
