BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Toronto Raptors guard Jamal Shead will hold a free basketball camp for kids on Saturday.
The camp will be at Enterprise Charter School on Oak Street from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. It is being done through C.O.P.P.S. (Children Overcoming Police Stereotypes Through Sports) with the design of bringing "together experienced coaches, police officers, and professional athletes to offer youth from grades 1-12 basketball fundamentals alongside life lessons in teamwork, discipline, and leadership."
Shead was selected by the Raptors in the second round of the NBA draft a year ago after a prolific career at University of Houston. He appeared in 75 games in his first year in the NBA, averaging 7.1 points and 4.2 assists per game.
Registration is required for the event and can be done by clicking here.
