Three injured in car crash on Troy-Schenectady Road
The crash happened just before 9 a.m. on Troy-Schenectady Road near Hickory Road.
NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Police are investigating a three-car crash that took place in Niskayuna on Thursday morning. The crash happened just before 9 a.m. on Troy-Schenectady Road near Hickory Road.
Niskayuna Police reported that the drivers of all three vehicles were taken to Ellis Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The initial investigation resulted in the arrest of one of the drivers, a 30-year-old Halfmoon woman, who faces the following charges:
Misdemeanors
- Two counts of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
Vehicle and traffic law violations
- Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
- Operation of a motor vehicle without insurance
- Unregistered motor vehicle
- Move from lane unsafely
The charged driver is scheduled to be turned over to the custody of the Schenectady County Sheriff's Office following her arraignment. Firefighters with the Niskayuna Fire District assisted police on the scene.
