Thousands without power in Eden, Angola
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Thousands in the area of Eden, Angola, Evans, Brant and Farnham are without power tonight. Nearly 9,000 National Grid customers are currently affected. BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Thousands in the area of Eden, Angola, Evans, Brant and Farnham are without power tonight.
Nearly 9,000 National Grid customers are currently affected. Almost 3,000 of those are in the Eden, Angola, Evans area while nearly 6,000 are without power in Brant and Farnham.
A spokesperson with National Grid told WIVB News 4 that the outages are related to equipment failure at a substation. They say their crews have been working at the site and will continue to do so until power is restored.
They expect power to be back by later tonight.
