SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A combination of being silly with getting those steps in for the annual San Francisco Bay to Breakers race.
There's a time and place to run and not take yourself too seriously doing it -- something you can find at Bay to Breakers, a tradition running strong since 1912. The race was meant to raise the spirits of the city recovering from the 1906 earthquake, and create enthusiasm for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition.
KRON4 met with some runners at the start line in downtown San Francisco at Main and Folsom. Watch the full report in the video player above.
