Legendary composer Hans Zimmer wrote the triumphant theme that debuted during the arena's opening night on Wednesday, the Clippers have announced. The theme, which can be heard here, will play alongside a hype video on the arena's "HALO" board before every home game.
The German-born composer is a two-time Academy Award winner. He was recognized with the awards for Best Original Score for "The Lion King" in 1994 and "Dune" in 2021.
In all, he's known for composing the themes to "Top Gun: Maverick," "Gladiator," "The Thin Red Line," "Rain Man," "The Dark Knight," trilogy, "Inception," "12 Years A Slave" and Blade Runner 2049."
The theme for the Clippers is titled "Summon the Wave" and the video imagery accompanying it leans into the team's new nautical aesthetic.
