(KRON) -- An investigation into a methamphetamine drug trafficking organization in Santa Rosa led police to make two arrests Monday on narcotics and firearm charges, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.

The drug trafficking investigation began in the latter half of September, Santa Rosa police said. Two suspects were ultimately identified as being involved in the organization, including Andres Guzman-Loya, 27, of Santa Rosa, and Alfonso Muniz-Saucido, 25, of Santa Rosa.

At around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, detectives executed a search warrant and detained Muniz-Saucido on the 3500 block of North Laughlin Road. A search of the 25-year-old’s vehicle located approximately 10 ounces of suspected meth and a digital scale that were concealed in a hidden compartment, authorities said.

Another search warrant was executed on the 800 block of Frazier Avenue, where Guzman-Loya was detained. Guzman-Loya, a convicted felon, had a .22 caliber revolver along with ammunition in the residence, police said.
