Stillwater girls blank Lake George to win Class C
The final champion in Section 2 girls soccer was crowned on Wednesday night at Lansingburgh High School. The Stillwater girls blanked Lake George 2-0 to win the Class C title.
TROY, NY (NEWS10) -- The final champion in Section 2 girls soccer was crowned on Wednesday night at Lansingburgh High School. Stillwater blanked Lake George 2-0 to win the Class C title.
Sophomore Brooke Hodgson tallied both goals for the Warriors in the first half. "We all have a really tight bond and everybody is amazing on and off the field," said Hodgson. "It felt amazing winning with a really close team."
"This is something that we've been building towards since the seniors were freshmen," said head coach Christine Ihnatolya. "I knew that I had a lot of talent coming up with them and them combined with our sophomore, junior, freshman class, we all put it together this year. It's something that we've been looking forward to for a long time."
