State Capitol, other state buildings evacuated due to alleged threat
Law enforcement is investigating a potential threat to the state Capitol building in downtown Sacramento.
An alleged threat was made to the state Capitol building in downtown Sacramento Friday morning.
According to a message sent to State Senate staff, law enforcement is working to determine if the threat is credible, and legislative staff have been asked to leave the state Capitol, as well as a building on O St. used by the legislature and the Legislative Office Building.
Governor Gavin Newsom was not present as he is in Southern California and state lawmakers are currently in their districts, state staff confirmed to FOX40.com.
