Thousands of service members arrived at St. Louis Lambert International Airport to head home for the holidays Saturday morning.
It was all part of the USO's annual "Green Day" event, which welcomes soldiers from Fort Leonard Wood as they begin their holiday leave.
The USO set up in terminal one, providing food, activities, and a quiet space to help these men and women relax before they head off to be with loved ones. Some service members arrived as early as 2 a.m. We're told these military members will be flying out to destinations across the country and around the world, reuniting with family for the holiday season.
