Sports apparel company opens first retail location in Halfmoon
A local clothing company celebrated the opening of its first retail store on Friday.
HALFMOON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A local clothing company celebrated the opening of its first retail store on Friday. Novus Clothing Company's first location is inside the Impact Athletic Center in Halfmoon.
The company has provided custom team apparel and athletic gear for more than a decade. It started as a project for a few college students to earn money on the side and has become something much more.
"We just wanted to sell T-shirts and tank tops to our college buddies for fun, really," Owner and COO Nick Bernardo said. "We always wanted to be in business together and became best friends. And the avenue of custom apparel and team apparel came about and we really kind of built the business off of that."
Kevin Huerter, a Shenendehowa graduate and NBA player, is one of the owners.
