Speeding car side-swipes CPD squad in Portage Park
Two handguns were recovered from a speeding car that struck a Chicago police squad car early Tuesday in Portage Park on the Northwest Side. Around 2:05 a.m., a Toyota sedan was speeding in the 5100 block of West Sunnyside Avenue when it side-swiped the squad car and two other parked vehicles, police said. Two guns were found inside the Toyota, carrying four occupants who fled on foot after the wreck. No one was arrested and no injuries were reported.
