Southbound 805 freeway shut down due to major traffic collision
All lanes are blocked on Interstate 805 southbound, just north of National City, due to a major traffic collision, officials with Caltrans confirmed.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- All lanes are blocked on Interstate 805 southbound, just north of National City, due to a major traffic collision, officials with Caltrans confirmed.
California Highway Patrol first reported the incident around 8:50 a.m. The crash site is located north of 43rd Street.
FOX 5/KUSI reached out to CHP for more information, only confirming at this time that the freeway has been shutdown in the area, blocking motorists from traveling southbound.
It's unknown how many vehicles were involved or if there are any serious injuries.
