It didn’t take long for the Vikings to find a replacement for injured left tackle Christian Darrisaw.
After losing Darrisaw for the remainder of this season, a source confirmed to the Pioneer Press that the Vikings have acquired veteran left tackle Cam Robinson in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It’s proof that the Vikings are still heavily invested in this season as they head into the seemingly easy portion of their schedule with a 5-2 record. The assumption is that Robinson will be able to play when the Vikings host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The injury to Darrisaw occurred on Thursday night at SoFi Stadium as the Vikings suffered a 30-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He got rolled up on shortly before halftime while still engaged in a block. He collapsed to the ground in pain and had to be helped of the field by the trainers.
Less than 24 hours later, head coach Kevin O’Connell confirmed that Darrisaw suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee.
