(BCN) -- A sinkhole formed in Santa Cruz County on state Highway 1 at Buena Vista Drive, the California Highway Patrol said Sunday morning.
An image shared by the CHP on social media showed an oval sinkhole a few feet in diameter in the inner shoulder of the highway, near the median, just north of Watsonville.
The left lane is closed in the southbound direction. Drivers should expect delays in the area.
There was no estimated time for when the lane would reopen.
