Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has announced an update on the popular Collectible Card Game (CCG), Shiba Eternity, igniting a surge of anticipation and enthusiasm in the crypto community. In his recent appearance on the official Discord of Shibarium Tech, Kusama was asked by the pseudonymous admin of the server, Da Vinci, about the date for the upcoming beta testing for the CCG. In response, Kusama replied “Next quarter”. This triggered excitement among the Shiba Army despite the response lacking details.
This also coincides with the recent insight from Mazrael, a Shiba Eternity advisor and grandmaster, claiming that the team is making progress in the game testing. According to him, previous technical challenges affecting the PlaySide build are being addressed.
Testing of the in-house build is in progress! Bugs that remained in the Playside build have been fixed by the Shiba Inu Games team and will be pushed to the mobile version along with other improvements in the coming patch. One step closer to P2E #ShibaEternity beta launch #SHIBARMY.
More on Shiba Eternity
The game was officially launched in October 2022 and has since recorded a whopping 500,000 players. As formerly reported by Crypto News Flash, the game had more than 100,000 downloads in a few weeks after launch. Interestingly, it is yet to venture into the Web3 market where its integration into blockchain technology would revolutionize user engagement and game dynamics.
For context, the Shiba Eternity game is a free-to-play (F2P) game where players are given a starter deck. In the first stage of the game, players meet Ryoshi, a Shiboshi who offers them guidance through the Shiba Inu game. Also, each Shiboshi has six core traits, however, abilities are unlocked after it comes into contact with PURE FOMO. The game is designed to enable Shiboshi to train in the various martial arts disciplines.
After it has successfully obtained enough experience, it then qualifies to face Ryoshi in combat. It is important to note that the game has a large collection of 10,000 Shiboshis heroes and 500 collectible cards. It also contains 11 passive powers and 21 special powers. In a nutshell, a user would have to drain an opponent’s stamina from 30 points to zero to win.
With the game freely available on the App Store and Playstore, players would not need to make any initial investment to play Shiba Eternity.
Lucie Speaks on Shiboshi NFTs
Recently, Lucie, the marketing specialist of the Shib ecosystem disclosed that Shiboshi NFTs would soon go beyond their current status to become integral in-game assets on Shibarium. Several features would be unlocked including Treat Earning Mechanism and integration with Shibarium.
Treat Earning Mechanism: Shiboshis will become a key component for players to earn $Treat, the Shiba Ecosystem reward token. Holding Shiboshis will be a requirement for participating in certain reward-generating activities or quests. Integration with Shibarium: The game will operate on Shibarium, the Shiba Inu blockchain, showcasing a seamless integration of NFTs and gaming within the Shiba ecosystem.
As of press time, Shiba Inu was trading at $0.00002810 after falling by 17% in the last seven days. Interestingly, this does not invalidate its recent performance as the asset made a 191% run in the last 30 days to position it as the 11th largest crypto by market cap.
According to a publication by Crypto News Flash, Kusama expects Shiba Inu’s market cap to soon hit $100 billion.
