Shiba Eternity Closed Beta Goes Live: Web3 Transition, NFT Inventory, and Enhanced Player Experience
  • Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, has announced via the X platform that Closed Beta for Shiba Eternity is live.
  • Additionally, LUCIE stated that the game will feature a ranked mode, including 15-day tournaments, where the top 25 players can earn rewards and qualify for elite tournaments.

In a recent post on X, Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, confirmed that the highly anticipated collectible card game, Closed Beta, has officially gone live on the Shibarium mainnet. This marks a significant milestone in the project’s journey as this card game offers a fresh take on traditional gaming, incorporating Web3 features for a modern gaming experience.

By transitioning to the Shibarium ecosystem, players experience a greater sense of ownership. This has been made possible by the Web3 version of the game, which allows players to own and trade in-game assets, thanks to the integration of NFTs. These assets are represented by inventory cards and stored on the Shibarium network.

It’s worth noting that Shiba Inu has significantly boosted the utility of its tokens, which will drive up demand and lead to a surge in SHIB’s price value as the game gains traction.

As CNF earlier reported, access to the Closed Beta was initially exclusive to the most dedicated members of the Shiba Inu community. Angel from the Shiba Eternity team confirmed that only LEASH token holders and selected “Zealous Shiba Inu community members” would be granted entry.

While the initial release is currently limited to LEASH holders and selected community members, the Shiba Inu team has outlined plans to slowly expand the player base. According to the team, participants who own at least one Shiboshi, Sheboshi, or Shiba Eternity Lore NFT will have access beginning September 5th this year. However, the team did not specifically announce a date for players without any LEASH tokens or NFT.

Shiba Eternity has added another twist that brings new gameplay elements. According to LUCIE, the game will include a ranked mode where players can compete in 15-day tournaments to earn rewards based on their rankings. The top 25 players will gain access to elite tournaments, offering exclusive seasonal events and opportunities to showcase their skills. These ranked tournaments and strategic gameplay are set to create a more competitive environment, keeping the players locked in and motivated.

Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, emphasized the broader impact of Shiba Eternity within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. LUCIE asserted that “the more people play Shiba Eternity, the more transactions will happen on Shibarium, the more BONE will be used, the more SHIB will be burned, and the greater the demand for Shiboshis will rise. THIS IS CALLED AN ECOSYSTEM.”

At the time of writing, SHIB is changing hands with $0.00001377,  marking a 1.20% surge in the last 24 hours.
