Semi crash closes Hwy 105 between Monument, Palmer Lake

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The Monument Police Department has closed part of Highway 105 after a semi-truck crash.
According to the police department's Facebook page, the semi-truck crashed into the train bridge over Highway 105 between Monument and Palmer Lake. Due to the crash, the highway has been closed to traffic in both directions.
Colorado State Patrol (CSP) told FOX21 News the crash was between Highway 105 and North Washington Street and occurred around 6 p.m. Three vehicles were involved, and one person was taken to the hospital with injuries.
According to CSP, crews on site are currently working on clearing the roadway.
Monument PD is asking the public to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
