The final week of December means conference play is set to begin, and after a full week in between games, the 11-2 San Diego State women’s basketball team is set to welcome the 10-3 Boise State Broncos in a clash of double-digit win teams.

The Aztecs ended non-conference play giving up only 57.9 points per game, which paced all teams in the Mountain West conference. Those numbers will be challenged when the Broncos come to southern California. Boise State leads the conference in assists per game at 15.77.

SDSU will hope that Naomi Panganiban, the back-to-back Mountain West Freshman of the week, will continue her scoring stretch. Panganiban has averaged 21.5 points per game over her last four games.

SDSU (No. 4) and Boise State (No. 10) are top 10 in bench points per game in the nation, with over 30 points coming from the team’s second unit.

The Broncos have yet to play a true road game this season (they have played in six neutral-site games), which provides more of a challenge for Boise State at Viejas Arena.

The game is set to tip off at 1 p.m. PST.
