The San Diego Wave FC have moved their regular season finale against Racing Louisville FC out of Snapdragon Stadium due to poor field conditions.
The game will now be played Sunday, November 3 at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky.
In a statement released on ‘X’ from Snapdragon Stadium, the stadium acknowledged the aesthetic of the field was lacking, but they are “dedicated to investing resources, specialized expertise, and advanced technology to address these challenges going forward.”
There was a thorough review done on the field, and due to all options in southern California being exhausted, the game was moved to Louisville.
Snapdragon Stadium was in use on Saturday, when the San Diego State football team hosted Washington State, and the field was in poor condition then as well.
The team issued a statement informing fans who purchased tickets that details will be provided soon, and the club is also working to organize an official watch party.
