SCHOHARIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Schoharie County received $11.6 million in federal funding to replace a century-old bridge. The Bridge Street Bridge goes over Schoharie Creek.
New York state has already put weight restrictions in place because of structural concerns. The next closest bridge is more than 20 minutes away.
The funding is coming from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Funding was provided earlier this year for design and planning.
