(KRON) -- The organizers who brought the first-ever Latin EDM festival to San Jose are also planning for the holiday festivities. San Jose Foos is hosting its fourth annual toy drive next month, the organization announced in a news release.
The toy drive will take place on the weekend of Dec. 14-15 at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds at 544 Tully Road in San Jose. Doors will open at noon for families to experience a "one-of-a-kind holiday shopping experience."
Families can shop for their children "completely free of charge," the press release said. However, you must sign up for a timeslot to pick up a toy. All children must be present to receive a toy, event organizers said. Signups began on Nov. 11. You can register and lock in a timeslot here.
The toy drive will not accept any walkups.
This year's toy drive looks to serve 10,000 children by collecting 30,000 toys to give away to children across San Jose, according to a press release. The event is organized by Toys For Tots, Sacred Heart Community Service, Santa Clara County Fairgrounds and San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan.
How To Donate
San Jose Foos is asking for the community's help in donating to their toy drive. There are four ways: donate toys, volunteer, spread the word and volunteer your business as a toy dropoff location.
You can donate by buying a toy directly on San Jose Foos' Amazon Wishlist. Drop off your toys at an official drop-off location. Cash donations are also accepted.
