San Diego’s Right-Wing OAN Hires Former GOP Congressman Matt Gaetz
The hard right Republican who formerly represented a congressional district in Florida will have his own show starting in January.
San Diego-based One America News Network, a hard-right broadcaster known for airing conspiracy theories, has brought on Matt Gaetz, it was announced Tuesday.
The right-wing Republican who formerly represented a congressional district in Florida will have his own show starting in January.
“Matt is a remarkable talent and a principled leader,” said OAN president Charles Herring in a statement.
“His insider access to America’s top policymakers and unwavering dedication to America-first values will bring unparalleled insight and exclusive content to OAN viewers. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the OAN family.”
Over the years, OAN has promoted anti-vaccine narratives, election denial, and defended police violence.
Gaetz joined the network after multiple credible sexual assault allegations forced him to withdraw his bid for U.S. attorney general in the upcoming Trump administration.
