San Diego Ranked Best City for Celebrating Thanksgiving in 2024
The financial services website WalletHub ranked the 100 largest U.S. cities based on 18 key metrics ranging from the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner and the share of delayed flights to volunteer opportunities per capita and forecast precipitation.
If you haven’t made travel plans as Thanksgiving nears, it may be reassuring to know that San Diego has been ranked as the best city for that holiday in 2024.
The financial services website WalletHub compared the 100 largest U.S. cities based on 18 key metrics ranging from the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner and the share of delayed flights to volunteer opportunities per capita and forecast precipitation.
“San Diego is the best place to go for Thanksgiving this year, and it’s an especially good place for people who want to dine out, with an extremely high number of restaurants rated at least 4.5 stars,” said WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo in the raking released earlier this month.
He also noted that San Diego residents search Google for Thanksgiving information more than people in most other cities.
Atlanta came in second, and San Francisco third. Stockton in California’s Central Valley was last on the list.
“San Diego has great weather, Atlanta has a fantastic track record for on-time flights, and San Francisco has surprisingly affordable accommodations,” said Lupo.
