San Diego Begins Second Phase of Community Meetings on Trash Collection

San Diego has begun the second phase of a public trash collection study following passage of Measure B.

The city is now inviting residents to community meetings, beginning on Nov. 12, to provide feedback on the city’s trash collection services.

The so-called Trash Study began in August, and residents requested more frequent recycling services and fee-free replacement of broken trash bins.

Phase two will continue to allow residents to provide feedback while also comparing trash and recycling services in nearby cities.

The meetings will also discuss Measure B, which allows a cost-recovery free for single family homes and small residential complexes that currently do not pay for trash services.

The meetings currently scheduled are:
