Saint Louis Fashion Fund concludes year-long 10th anniversary celebration

FRONTENAC, Mo. - The Saint Louis Fashion Fund concluded its year-long 10th anniversary celebration with a champagne toast Thursday night at Saks Fifth Avenue.

The evening was more than a glamorous event—it spotlighted the fund’s mission to position St. Louis as a hub for the fashion industry, both now and in the future.

FOX 2, a proud media sponsor of the year-long campaign, was recognized for its support, with Jasmine Huda accepting the honor on the station’s behalf.

The highlight of the evening was the surprise announcement of the Susan Sherman Fashion Scholarship, named after the Fund’s founder. They raised over $37,000.

The night also launched the “Unexpected Luxury” Trunk Show at Saks, running through the weekend to benefit the fund’s initiatives.

The Saint Louis Fashion Fund’s 10th anniversary is more than a celebration—it’s a campaign to amplify the impact of the city’s $3.3 billion fashion industry.

Championing over 800 local fashion-related businesses, the fund supports students, designers, and brands, including many from the refugee community. It focuses on economic development, diversity, and workforce retention.

With bipartisan support, the fund is dedicated to creating internships, jobs, and a pipeline for future fashion careers, answering the question, "Why St. Louis?” as a place to live, work, and launch in fashion.

Sherman summed it up, stating, “Fashion is as important to the fabric of St. Louis as baseball and beer.”
