Rockwood Summit High School deep cleaned after E. coli outbreak
Rockwood Summit High School was deep cleaned overnight due to an E. coli outbreak, which is believed to be linked to food served at an off-campus event last week.
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - An E. coli outbreak leads to an overnight deep cleaning of Rockwood Summit High School Wednesday night.
The St. Louis County Department of Public Health says that several cases of E. coli are believed to be tied to food served at an event held off campus last week that a group of Rockwood students and families attended.
On Wednesday night, the high school brought in extra help to disinfect all bathrooms, doorknobs, and deep-cleaned classrooms and common areas.
To ensure that everyone is able to stay healthy, students and faculty members are advised to wash their hands often or to use hand sanitizer if soap and water aren't available.
