Authorities have publicly identified a 54-year-old woman who died in a crash on a rural highway near Lake Henshaw.

Robin Blankinship of Lakeside lost control of the 2014 Toyota Sienna she was driving on state Route 76 in the Morettis Junction area shortly before 5 p.m. Oct. 16, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office and California Highway Patrol.

The eastbound vehicle veered off the roadway about a half-mile east of Mesa Grande Road, struck several trees and overturned, CHP public-affairs Officer Jared Grieshaber said.

Blankinship died at the scene.
