Robbers hold AT&T store employees at gunpoint in American Canyon

(KRON) -- Two armed suspects held American Canyon AT&T store employees at gunpoint on Sunday while taking cash and merchandise from the business, according to police.

The armed robbery occurred just before 7 p.m. as AT&T store employees were getting ready to close the Napa Junction Road location for the day. Two masked suspects entered the store and held two employees at gunpoint, the American Canyon Police Department said. No customers were inside the store during the robbery.

The suspects stole cash, including money from the store’s safe, merchandise and the employee’s cell phones, police said. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspects unplugged the store’s landline before fleeing in an attempt to delay police response, according to American Canyon PD.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident to develop leads on the suspects.
