The incorporation of Ripple’s technology into SCB’s esteemed SCB Easy mobile banking app presents customers with a significant benefit: near-instantaneous international money transfers without any charges. This marks a substantial improvement over conventional banking methods, which frequently entail fees and prolonged transaction durations. Impressively, this enhanced remittance service provided by SCB caters to approximately 16,000 customers.
For SCB, this further translates to a remarkable processing time of just one minute, facilitating approximately 80,000 monthly transactions, and enabling a monthly peer-to-peer remittance settlement volume of $400 million.
