Ripple partners with Mercado Bitcoin to allow cross border payments in Brazil using crypto

Ripple will launch crypto-based payments across Brazil. The announcement was made on the company’s website on October 3rd. Mercado Bitcoin has partnered with Ripple in this venture to enable businesses to make cross-border crypto payments.

Mercado Bitcoin is among the largest crypto exchanges in Latin America. Their partnership with Ripple will first focus on the internal operation between Portugal and Brazil as mentioned in the announcement. Furthermore, the service’s expansion to international payments for retail customers and the corporate sector is also planned.
