The developer added that improvements had been made to overlapping interactable objects. Riot expressed optimism about this improvement, stating it expects it to make actions more reliable in the new update. The developers gave an example that a dart from Cypher’s Spycam should no longer bar a player from attaching to a rope they are in direct view of.
The developer also revealed it had tweaked ground-spreading abilities such as Viper’s snake bite and Brimstone’s incendiary. Riot highlighted that the effects of these abilities were previously inconsistent, depending on the location where they landed.
Valorant’s developer noted the abilities could damage walls where visuals were unavailable. The updates will reportedly ensure the damages are more consistent and spread to desired areas.
According to the developer, the new update also includes improvements in map-targeted abilities. It highlighted the abilities affected by these improvements, including Clove’s Ruse, Omen’s from the Shadows, Brimstone’s Sky Smoke, and Orbital Strike.

The patch also introduces targeted bug fixes for console and PC gamers. Riot specified that a bug that required players to hold the tab button in the pre-round to fix the cursor had been fixed on PC.
The company also reported that it had fixed some menu bugs and several in-game bugs that reduced the effectiveness of some abilities within the game. It added the bug fixes were targeted to map bugs on Range and Abyss.
