Green Day will be one of the headliners at the 2025 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, with rumors swirling around another big name, according to two reports Wednesday.
Rolling Stone said that the band will make the journey to Indio for two weekends at the festival. It’s being held April 11-13 and 18-20.
Green Day has never played Coachella, although lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong made a guest appearance during The Replacements’ second-weekend set in 2014.
The report also indicated that Travis Scott is scheduled for a “special guest slot” at next year’s festival. The rapper’s lone Coachella appearance came in 2017.
Scott was announced as a headliner in 2020, but the festival was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. He was removed from the 2022 lineup after a crowd incident at his Astroworld Festival killed 10 people the year before.
In another Wednesday report, TMZ indicated that festival alum Lady Gaga would return to the desert as a headliner, according to “sources with direct knowledge of the festival’s next lineup.”
On Tuesday, Post Malone was formally announced as a performer at the 2025 Coachella Festival.
The full Coachella lineup is typically announced in early January.
