Ramona fire kills one person and two dogs, investigation ongoing
A person and two dogs were found dead in a trailer after firefighters extinguished an overnight fire in Ramona.
RAMONA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A person and two dogs were found dead in a trailer after firefighters extinguished an overnight fire in Ramona, the sheriff's department reports.
San Diego County Sheriff Deputies and Cal Fire firefighters were busy battling a fire in a residential trailer in the 18000 block of Cinnamon Rock Road in Ramona that started around 4 a.m. Saturday.
Sheriff's Bomb/Arson investigators called in Homicide Detectives around 7 a.m. after a body and the apparent remains of two dogs were found in the trailer once firefighters had fully put out the fire.
The victim has not been identified yet, pending an autopsy.
The sheriff's department said there is no one in custody at this time, and there is no danger to the public.
Homicide and Arson Detectives are now investigating the circumstances of the fire.
