ST. LOUIS - Cloudy skies are back Wednesday, and that means we have a blanket in the sky, keeping us warmer out the door.
Wake up temps Wednesday near 40 F. A few showers are showing up on radar, but the atmosphere is pretty dry, and I don’t think those are reaching the ground. Rain chances will increase later this morning and into the afternoon, then last through the evening. The rain won’t be heavy, but wet roads are likely for the afternoon drive Wednesday. Highs Wednesday in the upper 40s.
Some snowflakes may mix in as the rain tapers off Wednesday night, mainly in eastern Illinois. Skies clear some overnight; wake-up temperatures are around 32 F Thursday. Thanksgiving looks chilly but dry, partly cloudy with highs near 40 F. A quiet but cold Friday, sunny with highs in the mid 30s.
Saturday will bring a chance of our first snow of the season. Light snow looks possible in the late morning into the afternoon. Highs are only around 32 F, so temperatures will be cold enough to allow it to stick. This doesn’t look like a big storm, but it could create some slick roads Saturday afternoon and evening. Be aware of that for your family/holiday plans.
Sunday will be sunny but quite cold, with wake-up temperatures near 20 F and highs only near 30 F.
