Precautionary boil water advisory in St. Louis lifted
The City of St. Louis Water Division has lifted the precautionary boil order as of Wednesday night.
ST. LOUIS - The City of St. Louis Water Division has lifted the precautionary boil water advisory as of Wednesday night.
According to officials, there are no signs of contaminated water in tested samples, and the water is safe to consume.
The precautionary boil order was in effect just over 24 hours following a 36-inch water main break near Branch Street under Interstate 70. There were no signs of contamination, but the order was put in place out of an abundance of caution.
It had affected the following neighborhoods in north and south St. Louis:
- Jeff-Vander-Lou
- Carr Square
- St. Louis Place
- Benton Park
- Marine Villa
- Soulard
