Poughkeepsie woman struck by car on New Year's Eve
It happened on Hooker Avenue at the intersection of Austin Court in the town of Poughkeepsie at 10:17 a.m.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A 65-year-old Poughkeepsie woman was struck by a car on Tuesday. It happened on Hooker Avenue at the intersection of Austin Court in the town of Poughkeepsie at 10:17 a.m.
The crash happened when a Poughkeepsie man was driving northwest on Hooker Avenue while the woman was attempting to cross the road. The woman sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The road was closed until about 2:15 p.m. while the Poughkeepsie Police Department conducted crash reconstruction. The investigation is ongoing and the police department asks anyone with information about the crash to call (845) 790-4685.
