Potential Tropical Cyclone 18 is expected to become a tropical storm in the Caribbean by Monday and a hurricane by Tuesday night, according to the National Hurricane Center. Jamaica is now under a Tropical Storm Warning and is set to feel impacts Monday. The Cayman Islands and portions of Cuba are also expected to experience hurricane-force winds and storm surge, NHC reported. Tropical storm watches could be required for the Florida Keys by Sunday night or early Monday. Heavy rain could spread northward into Florida by midweek, as well as the southeast United States, NHC stated.
