Police shoot armed suspect in West Adams after he appears to draw weapons

The fleeing driver of a Maserati was apparently shot by police after he appeared to draw a pair of handguns in West Adams Tuesday afternoon.
The driver was wanted for domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, and the pursuit began just before 12:30 p.m.
Just after 1 p.m., the driver pulled into an alley and then into a parking lot near the 4100 block of Jefferson Boulevard.
He exited the sports car and walked down the alley to leave, but an officer confronted him, leading the suspect to draw what appeared to be two handguns gunshots rang out.
The driver appeared to have been shot at least once. His condition wasn't immediately clear, but first responders brought a gurney back to that parking lot.
Three women could be seen being taken away in handcuffs by officers, though their connection to the pursuit wasn't immediately clear.
