Police search for suspects after reported menacing during altercation in Boulder
The Boulder Police Department is looking for two suspects after someone reportedly flashed what appeared to be a gun during a group altercation in the early morning hours on Friday.
DENVER (KDVR) -- The Boulder Police Department is looking for two suspects after someone reportedly flashed what appeared to be a gun during a group altercation in the early morning hours on Friday.
Police said the incident occurred just after midnight Friday at the 3200 block of Euclid Avenue, about a mile away from the University of Colorado Boulder campus.
Police said they responded to reports of an altercation between a group of men, where they said one of the men flashed what appeared to be a gun, but no shots were fired.
Officers took one of the three suspects who fled on foot into custody. Police said all three of the suspects who fled were believed to be armed at the time of the altercation.
The apprehended suspect faces two counts of felony menacing and one count of obstruction and was taken into custody. However, two of the other suspects are still at large.
Police are still looking for these suspects, who are described as:
Suspect one:
- Male
- Teen to college-aged
- Approximately 5’10”
- Thin build
- Wearing a black hoodie and gray pants
Suspect two:
- Male
- Wearing a white shirt and black pants
While one of the suspects is described as "college-aged," it's unknown if either of them is affiliated with the nearby college. The circumstances around the altercation are unclear as well.
