(KRON) -- An illegal gambling operation in Oakland’s San Antonio neighborhood was busted last week after complaints from the community, the Oakland Police Department announced Thursday.
A search warrant was served at a residence on the 1400 block of 17th Avenue on Oct. 17. Multiple complaints from neighboring residents led OPD’s Special Resources Section and VICE Unit to investigate the illegal casino, police said.
Officers uncovered multiple illegal casino machines, an undisclosed amount of cash, narcotics, three firearms and ammunition, according to Oakland PD. Several stolen vehicles were also towed from the area in front of the property.
At the time of the search warrant being executed, four individuals were found inside the residence and arrested for various warrants, police said.
Oakland police extended its gratitude in a news release to the community who reported the illegal activity.
