(KRON) – Officers suffered minor injuries after a large brawl broke out in San Jose early Sunday morning, according to the San Jose Police Department.
At around 12:26 a.m., San Jose police officers were dispatched to the area of S Santa Clara and W San Pedro streets for the report of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, responding officers witnessed a massive brawl. The officers said they attempted to stop the fight and some suspects began to flee. The officers, according to SJPD, were attacked by suspects when they attempted to arrest other suspects.
Additional officers were summoned to the scene due to another physical altercation breaking out. Subsequently, all the suspects were arrested.
The officers suffered minor injuries, according to San Jose PD.
The department said there is not an ongoing threat to public safety.
