Police arrest man in Johnstown for alleged ghost gun possession
New York State Police arrested a California man for allegedly having a ghost gun. Troopers said Gerald D. Johnson, 56, of Wildomar, is facing multiple charges.

JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Police arrested a California man for allegedly having a ghost gun. Troopers said Gerald D. Johnson, 56, of Wildomar, is facing multiple charges.
Troopers said they responded to Fifth Avenue Extension in Johnstown around 1:33 a.m. on May 30 for a man who was brandishing a firearm in a parking lot. Law enforcement arrived at the scene and found the victim, who said the man police later identified as Johnson, pointed the gun at them.
After an investigation, troopers found two illegal, loaded, and unserialized handguns, known as ghost guns, in Johnson's vehicle. Additionally, law enforcement found a high-capacity magazine and glass smoking devices with residue of a controlled substance in the car.
Johnson was processed at the state police barracks in Mayfield. He was then transported to and remains in Fulton County Jail.
